Sophisticated international singer-songwriter and pianist Melina Soochan’s beautiful voice and soulful style is often compared to international stars like Alicia Keys, Norah Jones and Diana Krall. Melina’s vast song repertoire (in both English & French) includes jazz standards, touching ballads, re-imagined pop, funky soul, motown and RnB, and electric dance Top 40 hits. She strives to find something beautiful and original in every genre, and to make her audiences, big or small, feel something heartfelt and authentic. In addition to her performances at celebrated venues and festivals around the world, Melina has earned degrees from the prestigious McGill University in Montreal, and the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, and has seven albums to her credit. Melina’s performance is sure to energize and delight her audience at the 6th Annual Jazz in the Gardens.
